The Model Educator is Maria Eriksson. Originally from a small town in the North of England Maria is still currently a full time model and one of only a few each year who gain their permanent residency status in the USA due to an extraordinary ability career. Maria has posed for numerous apparel companies around the world, as well as appearing on runways and in top magazines such as FHM and Esquire. More of her work can be seen online at Walmart, Sears and Costco stores. She has had a 10 year career as a model during which time she has posed for hundreds of photographers, been represented by agencies on 4 continents and worked in 30 different countries.
Maria's previous career had been as a school teacher for teenagers and she has a Masters degree in Education. The combination of her career as a teacher, and her plentiful first hand experiences (both good and bad) as a model, make her an invaluable source of knowledge and expertise when it comes to giving advice on the modeling industry and understanding the concerns of the parents of teens whom want to enter the entertainment industry. Whilst teaching Biology, Chemistry and Physics as well as PSHCE (Personal, Social, Health and Citizenship Education) in the UK Maria learnt the skills necessary to communicate effectively with teens and parents alike. Her role as a teacher of teenagers only strengthened her nurturing and mothering nature which became even more reinforced whilst working overseas meeting models more than 10 years her junior.
Due to the combination of Maria's 2 careers her advice has been sought throughout the world by numerous magazines, e-zines and websites whereby she has been contributing author to many articles. Maria has also written a guide book on glamour modeling and is in the process of writing a further few guide books to other areas of the modeling industry
